  Artist's Retreat exPRESSive Arts Studio is now available as an artist's retreat for short and long term stays. The studio is a perfect space for artists to get away from their regular space and routine, to be inspired by the quiet and beauty of the southwest. Nestled among mesquite trees, a fruit orchard, blue skies, hummingbirds and fabulous sunsets, exPRESSive Arts Studio offers artists a space to live and work for a weekend or longer with use of studio equipment, a full kitchen, private bedroom and bath. Available for up to 2 people and one well behaved dog. 2 Day, 1 Night: $175. includes the use of tools & equipment. Materials and supplies additional (printmaking inks, papers, encaustic paints, painting substrates, acrylic & oil paints, oil pastels) Additional person at $60. 4 day long weekend, Friday - Monday: $450. includes the use of tools & equipment. Materials and supplies additional (printmaking inks, papers, encaustic paints, painting substrates, acrylic & oil paints, oil pastels) Additional person at $150. Additional room only guest, (husband playing golf, etc - no studio use) is $25 per night. Additional pet guest is $20. per night. Add a private assisted session to your stay for guidance and instruction in encaustic painting techniques, monotype printmaking, and/or the digital and marketing side of art for $75 half day, $125 full day. Assisted sessions are designed to give artists a basis in technique and tools when working in new mediums as well as encouraging support of existing skills. Use of Etching Press and Encaustic Equipment requires some previous experience or a half day assisted session in each area of use. The living quarters are also available to registered workshop participants at a discounted rate. Room rate with workshop: 1 person: $75/day, 2 person share: $100/day Pets: well behaved dogs only, no children under 16 years of age.
